ABOUT HUTCHINGS PERFORMANCE HORSES
Hutchings Cattle Company’s horse program started in 1998 with one bay mare and a dream. That year we attended the Pitzer Ranch’s Fall Sale and after watching 600 horses sell, we thought, “Wouldn’t it be nice to own a buckskin stud out of Two Eyed Red Buck and a Watch Joe Jack daughter and then breed him to 8 or 10 nice mares.” That interest sparked a return visit a month later and a purchase of a weanling colt named Ki Two Eyed. With coaching by good friends, a passion for good looking and talented quarter horses, and a few dollars, Hutchings Cattle Co. made Ki Two Eyed an AQHA Performance Champion.
 For the last decade, HUTCHINGS PERFORMANCE HORSES (formerly Hutchings Cattle Co.), has worked hard to develop horses that will be competitive in the show arena as well as in team roping events and on the ranch. Our numbers have grown from one bay mare to over 100 superior quality brood mares and a battery of stallions consisting of Sensation Cash, an AQHA Performance Champion and own son of the legendary Nu Cash, the AQHA Performance Champion Ki Two Eyed who is an own son of the AQHA Champion Two Eyed Red Buck, and our exciting new stallion, Major Red Buck, a 6-time AQHA World Show Qualifier also sired by Two Eyed Red Buck. Our Jr. Sire lineup includes: Mr Tyree Cielo, Genuine Red Jess, and Joe Jack Raider.
Richard Hutchings and Gary Hutchings have learned that owning a good horse only makes sense. Whether you are breeding to a stud, raising colts on a mare, or riding a gelding, the good ones are integral to your program. It is our mission to provide horses that work in a variety of environments: working cow horse, reining, roping and ranching. The Hutchings’ brand is a Smiley Face.
